Tell us a bit about yourself
I joined Foresight 2 years ago after spending 8 years working for an investment provider. This has given me experience in both sides of the client journey.
I have a Business and Psychology degree from the University of Central Lancashire. I have also achieved my Diploma in Financial Planning and will commence working towards chartership shortly.
Outside of work, I am passionate about football both watching and playing, running as I am training for my first half marathon, and reading sci-fi books.
What does your job involve?
One of the elements I enjoy working for Foresight is the variety of my day-to-day activities. I could be researching investments one minute and meeting with clients the next. I work closely with my Wealth Strategist Josh, to prepare for meetings and identify financial needs, complete any research, assist Josh in the advice process and implement the financial plan.
What is your favourite part of your job?
There are various enjoyable parts to my job but liaising with clients is my favourite part. Whether it be discussing a client’s finances in a meeting or speaking over the phone, we have a lovely client base and over time have the opportunity to build a great relationship. We receive lots of fantastic feedback if, for example, we have dramatically reduced an inheritance tax bill, which makes the job all the more rewarding.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I will carry out research on potential investments, contribute to suitability reports for recommendations, speak to clients regarding whatever their requirements may be, speak to investment providers, completing tax calculations and implement financial plans.
In your eyes, what makes Foresight a good company to work for?
The people. We have a fantastic camaraderie at Foresight, with a brilliant team ethic.
What do you get up to outside of work?
I enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I love walking my whippet, Florence, playing and watching football and any sport really, traveling to new places and trying new experiences.
